I AM The Bread Of Life

I am the bread of life. (John 6:35)
Jesus speaks frequently in ways that provoke deeper processing. He does this so we spend time with His words and not quickly move onto the next thing. To pause. To ponder.
In this scripture Jesus is speaking not about physical hunger and needs, but spiritual hunger and needs. With this first "I am" statement in the book of John, Jesus is telling us He is our spiritual nourishment and our lifeline to God (John 6:63).
It's only 6 words, but it covers so much. Jesus makes it possible for us to be in relationship with God. It's a powerful, healing truth to know that Jesus is the embodiment of God's love and is living along side us in our daily rhythms in spiritual and practical ways.
I'm sharing a morning focused yoga to help wake up the sleepy body and fix your mind on Jesus as your spiritual reality and life.
God will restore and reSTORY you. The body has a story. Yoga is a tool to slow down, listen, and respond. Stretching, breathing, releasing is a method of processing life.
I intentionally made this practice 20 minutes so you could realistically make room for it in your morning. It's also short enough, you could add more of your favorite postures, flow, or seated meditation.
I encourage you to make space for this meditative movement practice during this transformational time of Lent. Pray scripture with embodied movement. We all need time to get out of our headspace and connect with our bodies.
Remember, Lent is cutting at the roots of complacency in our lives.
